"Child Abuse and How Do We Stop It?" with Linda Paver
My guest is Linda Paver, a Licensed Certified Social Worker and the Assistant Director of the Child Abuse Prevention Center of Westchester County.

Ms. Paver received her Master’s Degree in Social Work in 1978 from the Wurzweiler School of Social Work, Yeshiva University. She was Program Director of Bronx House, a Community Center, was the trainer and supervisor of volunteer group facilitators of the Mother’s Center of Rockland County, had a private social work practice for over 10 years and is Project Director for the Active Retirement Program at the JCC on the Hudson. She came to the Center in 1998 as a part-time Volunteer Coordinator and became the full-time Assistant Executive Director in September 2004.
The Child Abuse Prevention Center provides support to families ensuring that children can enjoy their right to grow up in a healthy and happy home and to become productive members of our community. This saves our society the enormous costs of coping with maladjusted children who grow into adults who may have drug, alcohol, social problems or exhibit criminal behavior.
Clients are referred to this program by doctors, teachers, nurses, friends, family, and by the overwhelmed parents themselves.
