Andrew Valentine, Talks about his book "Bitter Things," and the Power of Myth

Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at 12:00 Noon, I am hosting my show, The Advocates on WVOX- 1460 AM, or you can listen to the program’s live streaming at www.wvox.com. One can call the show at 914-636-0110 to reach us on the radio.  My guest is author Andrew Valentine.

Our subject will be his book, Bitter Things, which addresses not only the new cultural (and often eternal) phenomenon and fascination with vampirism and eternal life, but the “Power of Myth,” that shapes much of our society’s thinking. Andrew has won a number of awards for writing. He attended NYU, is a graduate of Fordham University, and holds a masters degree in psychology from the New School for Social Research.  He is a partner at BannerDirect, a New York City direct marketing firm, where his writing is more effective in generating revenue than goose bumps. His award-winning erotic vampire novel, Bitter Things, is published by the National Writers Press and you can visit Andrew online at www.bitterthingsthebook.com

Meanwhile, the mission of The Advocates is to bring to the public differing views on current “public policy” issues. “Public policy,” therefore, is what we as a nation legally and traditionally follow.

One can find my essays on FDR and other subjects at http://rjgpublicthoughts.blogharbor.com. All of the archived shows can be found at: http://advocates-wvox.com.  Next week on WVOX our guest will be Dr. Vivian Diller, a clinical psychologist, who has written “Face It, What Women Really Feel as Their Looks Change.” http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/35803098/ns/today-today_books/
